This is and absolute NO! An old prank is predictive and boring so make yout pranks refreshing and new.

4. Less is more
Try to have a plan with less materials as the more the materials, the easier for a fault to occur when executing the prank. Besides with less materials required, you could easily play the prank on someone else again on April Fool's Day as you will have to spend less time preparing.
5. Keep it harmless as it’s all for good fun
While pranks are the most important during April Fool's Day make sure that you do not cross the line that should not be crossed by hurting your friends or whoever who played the trick on.

6. The correct target
If you are going to play the prank on your friend make sure to catch the right timing before the principal who is right behind your friend walks into the firing zone. You will get into deep trouble otherwise.
7. Tell your friends about it, spread the fun
Let a few friends (not too many) into the joke and get them to plan and execute the prank together. The more the merrier.
8. Absolutely sneaky (like a ninja)

Come up with a prank that no one has come up with before to top all of the other april fool pranks. A new prank as such will really catch your friends by surprise.
